Bloggingheads: Iran’s Nuclear Motives

Our good friend Richard Parker, from the American Foreign Policy Project (of Joint Experts’ Statement fame), recently went on BloggingheadsTV over at the New York Times to debate Jacqueline Shire on the real reason Iran is intent on enriching uranium.
I think he did a marvelous job, don’t you?

What is the lady’s stance in the debate? Parker has a good point about advancing Iran’s nuclear interest for national pride. And if Iran isn’t isolating the isotopes for commercial interest, pride leads to dangerous results, which is called nuclear proliferation. Was the lady trying to argue against this fact?
